Boo Boo Bear at Sugar Lake Lodge
In May 2010 Boo Boo Bear traveled to Ruttger's Sugar Lake Lodge in Cohasset, Minnesota to participate in a Family Sustainment event for Civil Engineer Squadron families from the MN ANG 148th FW.
At this "During Deployment" weekend planned by the MN ANG Yellow Ribbon Support group Boo Boo shared the story of his adventures in Iraq, inspired craft activities, and visited with families about ways to help them stay connected during deployment and reconnect when their loved one returns home.
Boo Boo's favorite parts of the weekend were listening to the storyteller and roasting marshmallows over a campfire with the Guard families! A copy of his book went home with each of the families.
